Mariola Landowska nasce na cidade Szczecin, na Polónia. Estuda Arquitectura na Escola Superior de “Kazimierz Wielki”. Estuda Pintura no Instituto de Belas Artes ”Gazzola”em Itália. Como admiradora da cultura indígena e arte rupestre fez várias viagens ao Brasil onde conviveu com tribos do Nordeste, Pantanal e Amazónia o que lhe proporcionou participar nos seus antigos cerimoniais. O seu interesse pela etnografia, mitologia e novas culturas inspiram a sua pintura, da qual têm resultado várias exposições individuais, bem como colectivas, em vários países. A última das quais em Maio 2009 no Museu de Faro intitulada “Between”.

O urso representa o pulso primordial, uma força imanente ligada ao mito da grande mãe-terra. Vive em liberdade e somente desta maneira pode ser feliz. Como uma criança que aprecia espaços abertos e harmonia, onde a natureza está cheia de animais, de flores e ar perfumado. O urso habita um habitat fascinante com harmonia perfeita para a amizade onde tudo está em fluxo constante. Um escape de um mundo caótico para um mundo mais verdadeiro, um mundo autêntico sem preconceitos. A percepção de uma criança está muito presente e a contemplação de elementos da natureza cria um espírito maravilhoso da protecção.

Mariola Landowski was born in the city Szczecin, in Poland. She studied at the School of Architecture “Kazimierz Wielki”. She studied painting at the Institute of Fine Arts “Gazzola” in Italy. As an admirer of Indian culture and rock art she made several trips to Brazil where she lived with tribes of the Northeast, the Pantanal and Amazon where she could participate in their old ceremonials. Her interest in ethnography, mythology, and new cultures inspire her painting, which has resulted in several solo, as well as collective, exhibitions in several countries. The last one was held in May 2009 at the Museum in Faro and was entitled “Between.”

The bear represents the primordial pulse, an immanent force linked to the myth of great mother-earth. It lives in liberty and only in this way he can be happy. Like a child who enjoys open space and harmony, where nature is full of animals, flowers and scented air. Bear inhabits a fascinating habitat with perfect harmony for friendship where everything is in a constant flux. An escape from a chaotic world into a more truthful world, an authentic world without preconceptions. A child’s contemplation is very present and contemplation of nature’s elements creates a wonderful spirit of protection.
